Freehold Chiropractor Shares Research that Shows Back Surgery Fails 74% of the Time

Over 80% of the population suffers from back pain at one time or another.  It is becoming common practice for medical doctors to suggest back surgery and the patients are led to believe it is a quick fix.  But boy are you in for a rude chiropractor freehold Freehold Chiropractor Shares Research that Shows Back Surgery Fails 74% of the Timeawakening if you choose this as your option.  A new study reveals that back surgery fails 74% of the time!

The study reviewed the records of 1450 patient records in the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation database.  These patients were suffering with conditions from disc degeneration, disc herniation or radiculopathy, a nerve condition that causes numbness or tingling and weakness of the limbs.  The patients were split equally into 2 groups:  those that had fusion surgery vs those that had no surgery at all.

In the 2 year follow up with these patients, only 26% returned to work in the surgery group, yet 67% in the NON surgical group returned to work.  What is more alarming is that the surgical group had a 41% increase in the use of dangerous pain killers, putting them at risk of further side effects and addictions.

“The study [1] provides clear evidence that for many patients, fusion surgeries designed to alleviate pain from degenerating discs don’t work”, Dr. Trang Nguyen, lead author and a researcher at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. [2]

Many patients report increase in excruciating pain post surgery and the increase prescription of medications rarely helps.  One patient, Nancy Scatena, reported “I was suicidal” due to the excruciating pain.  She went for another opinion from another surgery that was described as a “miracle worker”.  The doctor assured her he would fix everything and after a brief period of relief, the pain came back with vengeance.

Many pain management doctors and some surgeons state surgery is an empty promise, yet due to the suggestion of the medical doctors around 600,000 people opt for surgery which has such a low rate of success.  Many times the surgeries back fire, resulting in more pain and prescribed medications.

These surgeries aren’t simple procedures either.  There are many risks that come along with them, including paralysis and even death.  There is a huge concern because in just the last 15 years, there was an 8 time increase in these complicated surgeries.  In 2007 alone, there were a 27 million reported back problems with over $30 billion spent on relieving the pain.. the biggest portion of which was spent on these dangerous spine surgeries that have a low success rate.

Two other studies further confirm findings:

1) Surgery should not be recommended until a patient has 2 years of all other conservative approaches have failed.

2) Adjustments (chiropractic treatments) with or without exercise therapy have a higher success rate than medical care alone over 3 and 12 month periods.  To top if off, the more successful chiropractic approach shows better value over not only the medical care but also better than manipulation along with exericse.

I’m a chiropractor in Freehold, NJ and at my office, Hometown Family Wellness Center, I have seen patients for over 13 years with many sources of back pain.  I take a conservative approach with your condition, and upon a full evaluation, I show you what is the cause of the problem.  If you are one of the rare instances that you won’t benefit from chiropractic, I refer you to a local specialist who can further help you with your lower back pain.  With over 80% success rate, chiropractic is the best option.  Before any thought of looking into back surgery, I always suggest you look into any alternative options first.  I have seen many patients over the years who have suffered through the surgery with little to no results.  Some have had spinal fusions where they are so restricted in their daily activities now and can’t enjoy life, others had temporary relief then the pain gradually returned to beyond levels prior to the surgery, and one of my mother’s friends was even paralyzed from her waist down to her feet.  I have seen many scenarios and most of these patients were told there was no other option.  Just remember, this is your body and there are always better and more safe alternatives before trying surgery.  Yes, you might have heard or nobody who had a successful spinal surgery, but those are the rare cases.  Is it worth the risk?

If you or somebody you know suffers with low back pain and have considered surgery, please share this blog and research as much as you can before taking the leap to surgery.  If you are in Freehold or the surrounding towns of Marlboro, Manalapan, Howell, Colts Neck, Jackson, Morganville or other areas of Monmouth County, NJ, give our office a call at 732-780-0044 and go to our website:  www.chiropractorfreehold.com

Chiropractor in Freehold NJ Shares a Key Component Missed by Many Doctors in Treating Low Back Pain

Over 80% of the population experiences back pain at one time or another.  Unfortunately many people wait, thinking it will go away, then wonder why it keeps coming back.  Many others seek care from their medical doctors that just put them on a series of pain medication and muscle relaxers.  The medications at best only give temporary relief, while the underlying cause actually gets worse.  Just imagine if you wentchiropractor freehold Chiropractor in Freehold NJ Shares a Key Component Missed by Many Doctors in Treating Low Back Pain to a dentist for a painful cavity, but the dentist only shot the cavity with Novocaine but didn’t treat the cavity itself:  You might feel better as you aren’t experiencing pain, but the cavity is actually decaying more.   The same thing happens when you just go to a medical doctor and they prescribe medications.  You feel better, but the underlying cause keeps getting worse.

Chiropractors and Physical Therapists take a different route and actually have the goal of correcting the cause, but only chiropractors find the actual cause of the pain and therefore have a highest success rate in correcting the back pain.  By finding the spinal vertebra that are misaligned which are putting pressure on the nerves and causing dysfunction of the discs, chiropractic utilizes specific adjusting techniques to realign the bones and joints to get the pressure off the discs and nerves.  It’s as simple as that!

My name is Dr. Russell Brokstein and as a chiropractor for the past 13 plus years, I have done a lot of work on chiropractor freehold Chiropractor in Freehold NJ Shares a Key Component Missed by Many Doctors in Treating Low Back Painpatients experiencing low back pain.  Most chiropractors just look at the spine, but some of us specialize in full body mechanics, including the ankle, foot, knees and hips.  Most times, patients have imbalances in their legs that can cause misalignments in the spine, all the way from the pelvis, lower back all the way up to the neck.  By examining the legs and correcting the involved joints, we are able to further stabilize the spine from repetitive misalignment.

If your feet are misaligned, it causes you to walk off balance and translates into stress into knees, hips and the entire spine.  This is similar to a car with misaligned wheels and you start to feel the car pulling to one side or the other.  If you leave it that way too long, the tires start to wear down and you can have more problems build up including brake problems, struts, etc.

In my treatment of patients, I check everybody for misalignments of the ankles, feet, knees and hips to further correct the imbalances occurring in the spine that are causing the pain.  A major part of the problems in the leg are due to collapsing arches that don’t get support from the shoes you wear.  By measuring the arches with state of the art equipment, we can have custom made orthotics built to put in your shoes to provide the proper support to help stabilize the adjustments we perform.

A study reported in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics evaluated the efficacy of custom-made shoe orthotics in managing low back pain.  50 subjects were split into 2 groups of 25:  one group received the orthotics, while the other group were put into a 6 week waiting period before being put into orthotics.  The group wearing orthotics showed a significant decrease in back pain, while the second group didn’t show any improvement until being allowed to wear the orthotics from the 6th thru 12th week of the study.  Foot pain also decreased in the orthotic group, while the non orthotic group showed no improvement in the first 6 weeks.  The study concluded that the use of foot orthotics appear to play a significant role in reducing the effects of both foot and back pain in patients.

If you have been experiencing lower back pain that won’t resolve with the other approaches you have taken, I recommend coming in to our Freehold, NJ office, Hometown Family Wellness Center, for a full body examination and consult for me to show you the cause of your back pain once and for all.  I will demonstrate for you how your feet and legs are a major contributor to your problem and then we will address the cause once and for all so you can once again be out of pain and on your way to enjoying your normal daily activities.

Freehold Chiropractor Educates Your Posture is Important to Maintain Your Health!

My name is Dr. Russell Brokstein, chiropractor and owner of Hometown Family Wellness Center in Freehold, NJ and today I am continuing the blog on Be Health Naturally without Drugs or Surgery.

The previous posts talked about sleep, stress reduction and dietary recommendations.  You can read the other blogs by clicking:  Chiropractor Freehold Blog

Today we are going to discuss your posture.  Your spine is the central support structure of your body.  Your spine carries the neurological lifeline from your brain to all the other parts of your body.  Your health really depends on thechiropractor freehold Freehold Chiropractor Educates Your Posture is Important to Maintain Your Health! flow of energy through an unrestricted nervous system.  When your spine suffers, your overall health can suffer too.  When you respect your spine by taking good care of it, your spine will serve you well by offering its strength and flexibility for a long time to come.

When your posture and spinal alignment are off, it can also lead to pain, back pain, neck pain, headaches and migraines, numbness and tingling, stress, fibromyalgia, sciatica, arthritis, herniations and disc degeneration.

Here are my two top recommendations for taking care of your spine:

  1. Be ergonomically correct when you sit at a desk, stand, bend or reach. “Ergonomically correct” is a fancy term for body posture that doesn’t cause stress to your body.

For example, which three of these postures do you think would be ergonomically correct:

    1. Sitting with your legs crossed at the knees.
    2. Sitting with your legs crossed at the ankles.
    3. Bending straight over to pick up a box with knees locked for support.
    4. Bending over to pick up a box with knees bent.
    5. Standing in a crowd with your weight centered on one leg for a long time.
    6. Standing in a crowd with your weight centered over both feet with your shoulder, back and head centered over your spine.

The answer is 2. 4 and 6.

Ask me to check out your posture. I’ll be looking at you from the side to see if the center of your ear, the center of your neck, shoulder, hips, knees and ankle all form a straight line.  If they don’t, then we need to work more on your posture.

Here’s how I remember how to stand correctly while lifting something heavy or just standing for long periods of time:  I think to myself, “Brace yourself!”  What I mean by this is that if I’m reaching down into the crib to pick up a baby, I must get ready for the act of lifting by bracing myself.  I brace myself by bending at the knees and keeping the weight as close to my body as I can.  The farther the baby is from my body, the more I’m at risk of injury.

Reaching for things far away from you is not a good habit if you want a strong spine.  Instead of reaching out to push or pull something, get as close to the item as you can, then lift it after bracing yourself.

If you have to stand on your feet for a long period of time, don’t get in the habit of putting most of your weight over one foot or on one leg.  Brace yourself by spreading your feet about shoulder distance apart, then stand solidly. You’ll feel better and look more confident as well.

Which of these are ergonomically correct?

a.       Loading up grocery bags in your arms, then trying to open your door with a key while holding all those grocery bags

b.      Sitting at a desk with the computer keyboard more than a foot away from the edge of the desk

c.       Looking at your computer screen that is 2-1/2 feet away by moving your head forward

d.      Sitting hunched in a chair or recliner

e.       Looking down at your computer screen or TV

f.        Doing dishes at the sink on top of a small rug or carpet strip

The answer here is f.  Standing on a carpet decreases stress on the spine more than standing on a hard floor.  That’s why a lot of the multimillion-dollar companies that set up booths at trade shows have carpeting in their booth on the floor.  They want to make you feel more comfortable and reduce the stress on your body that you’ve been feeling by walking for long periods of time.  It also helps their staff at the booth.

2. While I’m treating you, it’s important to NOT do any excessive lifting (over 15-20 lbs.) during the first 4-6 weeks of treatment.  In some cases, vacuuming and other household chores like laundry may be limited as well.  Ask me for specific instructions for your individual case.

So, now that we covered posture, next time we will be discussing your joints and nutritional support, so stay tuned.

Until then, have a chiropractor check your spine, as we are the ONLY health professionals properly trained to analyze, detect and correct subluxations which are misalignments of the vertebra that put pressure on the nerves and spinal cord and will decrease your over health and function.  Give your body the chance to be healthy naturally without drugs and surgery!

Freehold NJ Chiropractor Shares Video about the Myths and Misconceptions of Chiropractic

My name is Dr. Russell Brokstein and as a chiropractor in Freehold, NJ, I feel it’s so important to keep up with the news and current research.  While browsing facebook, I saw a video clip of one of my favorite, world-wide renown chiropractors, Dr. Patrick Gentempo, DC.  He was interviewed on a major NJ news station, clearly and passionately discussing the virtues of chiropractic and the distinction between chiropractic and medical practice.  Watch his brief 6 minute interview to see how chiropractic can bring you and your family the natural health and wellness you deserve:

Chiropractic is effective with many musculoskeletal conditions like back pain, neck pain, inflamed and herniated discs, sciatica, fibromyalgia, headaches and migraines.  Many people don’t know how chiropractic actually supports general health and well being. Like Dr. Gentempo explained, in our office: Hometown Family Wellness Center located in Freehold, NJ, we have a unique approach to your health that has helped many patients that have failed with other medical approaches. We utilize the surface EMG evaluation to find your nervous system imbalances, but we go even further by being currently one of only 4 offices in all of NJ that utilizes state of the art Biofeedback and Stress Reduction Therapy which helps positively recondition the body’s reactions to the overall stress that Dr. Gentempo talks about. Do you Suffer with Low Back Pain, Neck Pain, Sciatica, Numbness and Tingling or Headaches…Freehold Chiropractor Advises Not to Ignore or Else…

As a chiropractor in Freehold, NJ, I hear many people complain about neck pain, low back pain, sciatica, numbness and tingling or migraine headaches quite often.  Problem is, most don’t do anything about it.  They ignore the symptoms thinking they will just go away, or that they will just learn to live with it.

What would you do if your car’s low oil light or check engine light came on today?  Would you top off with some quality fresh engine oil and get your engine checked or would you put black tape over the bright annoying light so you wouldn’t have to deal with it anymore?

Ignoring the warning signs will cause your engine to eventually fail.  And if you were checking the oil level regularly for maintenance of your car and adding oil when needed, the light might not have come on in the first place.  The same goes for your spine and regular chiropractic check ups.

When you don’t get your spine adjusted, pain is the warning signal.  Unfortunately by the time the pain shows up you have been out of adjustment for way too long.  If that’s the case, don’t just cover up the pain with Tylenol, Advil or other pain killers that just mask the symptoms and have many harmful side effects.  Make sure to get your spine properly adjusted and maintained to avoid catastrophe down the road.

By ignoring your pains, headaches and numbness and tingling, the problems become more chronic.  It has been shown that joints that are misaligned for more than just 2 weeks start to exhibit arthritis.  Arthritic or degenerative changes in the joints are progressive in nature.  It is much easier to correct and prevent arthritis by having the spine and body checked on a regular basis.  If you have low back pain or neck pain, and you ignore the warning signals, the discs can start to bulge or herniate too.  Disc degeneration is also progressive and very expensive to correct if you wait too long.  Your health will be optimized and your health care costs are kept to a minimum by preventing the problem from occurring.

Similar to the car, we are taught to have the oil, lube and filter performed every 3000 to 5000 miles to keep the car performance up and prevent the car from breaking down.  Doesn’t it make more sense to prevent your body from breaking down so you can enjoy your regular daily activities?

You don’t have to live with your back pain, neck pain, sciatica, headaches and migraines, numbness and tingling, Fibromyalgia or other pains you are experiencing.  Gain the pain free life you deserve so you can enjoy your family, social life and other activities you like.  Chiropractic helps prevent spinal degeneration.  Your body and health is worth the investment!

Our office, Hometown Family Wellness Center located in Freehold, NJ has been helping 1000′s of people from around Monmouth County over the past 6 years.  From Marlboro, Manalapan, Howell, Jackson, Colts Neck, Morganville and many other neighboring towns, patients have seen the full health and wellness benefits of chiropractic.  Watch what they have to say by clicking here.

Chiropractor in Freehold NJ helps Low Back Pain and Sciatica Patients without Drugs or Surgery

As a chiropractor in Freehold, NJ I have seen many patients from the Monmouth County area who suffer needlessly with low back pain and sciatica.  Around 80% of the population complains of low back pain but ignore the pain, think they have to learn to live with it, or go to their medical doctors that just prescribe them one pain medication or anti-inflammatory one after another.  At best, these medications just provide a temporary relief of symptoms, but many times the pain persists and the side effects are numerous.  Also, even if the pain is covered up, the patient falsely feels they are better and start doing their normal activities once again which can further damage the underlying condition.

You have to realize daily stresses accumulate in the spine and the joints get misaligned, making it more difficult to move, therefor straining the muscles, putting pressure on nerves and the discs.  Some research even shows that arthritis or spinal degeneration starts forming after just 2 weeks of the joints being misaligned.

Most chiropractors will analyze the spine for subluxations and perform adjustments to correct them.  But this is just part of the cause.  I have seen many patients over the years who have gone to chiropractors who only adjust and report to me  the low back pain and sciatica were reduced in intensity, but they still experienced it.  The problem being missed is that many of these imbalances occur due to muscle tightness and spasms in the spinal regions but also the muscles of the legs, as well as the joints of the ankle, feet, knees and hips.

Imagine driving your car and noticing the tires are wearing unevenly.  You bring in the car to be checked and the mechanic tells you that you need new tires.  If you just put new tires on and the mechanic doesn’t balance out the wheels, you will notice the car still pulls more to one side and the tires will wear out more quickly.  Same holds for if you just realign the wheels, but not put on new tires too.  You would want the mechanic to take care of the cause by realigning the wheels first, then put on the new tires.

I bring this up as I recently had a new patient, who was a professional athlete, that found my practice online and when he came in he reported low back pain, sciatica and disc herniations which he had micro-discectomy surgery performed 5 years ago while in his mid 20′s.  He told me he’s been to many chiropractors but adjusting didn’t help, physical therapy provided no relief and he also visited one of the biggest sports orthopedic practices in all of NJ with no change.

I explained our course of action is probably different than any other chiropractor he has been to and after performing a full chiropractic, orthopedic and sport evaluation, we address all the contributing factors to the pain:  we not only adjust the spine, but therapeutically stretch the muscles that support the spine, including the hamstrings, quadriceps and piriformis, and adjust the joints of the ankle, foot, knee and hips.  By addressing these instabilities, we can further balance the foundation that keeps causing the spine to misalign.  Upon his first evaluation and treatment, he got up off the table and shockingly said it was the first time he was able to sit up with out low back pain.

Going one step further, we will analyze the arches of the feet.  If the arches are dropping, it will cause the joints of the ankles, feet, knees and hips to keep misaligning, which will make the spine unstable again.

Another thing to consider is most chiropractors and medical doctors attribute sciatica as pressure on the nerves from the lower back into the leg by misalignments or bulging discs.  A condition called piriformis syndrome is missed many times.  This is where the piriformis muscle is actually what is causing the numbness and tingling associated with sciatica.  When properly assessed, the right treatment can also correct this.

Chiropractors are the only health professionals that specialize in the spine and nervous system.  Finding the cause of the pain and dysfunction is the start of correcting the problem once and for all so you can start living a pain free, health lifestyle once again.  No more complaining of pain while bending over, picking up your children, going out and enjoying the evening with a significant other, etc.  It is important to find a chiropractor that not only adjusts the spine, but helps balance the supporting muscles, joints in the legs and feet, and make sure your arches are properly supported.

We have helped many patients that suffer with low back pain and sciatica in Freehold, Marlboro, Manalapan, Howell, Jackson, Morganville and Colts Neck, NJ as well as many neighboring towns.  Many have driven up to an hour away, passing by 1000 other chiropractors as they want to experience a full body treatment that addresses all the causes with the multiple pronged approach no other doctor in our area takes.  If you are ready to gain your pain free, active lifestyle once again, contact our office, Hometown Family Wellness Center at 9 Broadway in Freehold, NJ at 732-780-0044

Chiropractor in Freehold Discusses The Facts You Haven’t Been Told After Your Car Wreck

If you have recently been in a car accident and are suffering from any of the following:

  • Neck pain
  • Sharp, shooting pains in the arms
  • Numbness and/ or tingling in the arms or hands
  • Painful headaches or dizziness
  • Constant muscle soreness

…there may be cause for concern. This is the most important information you will ever read about your injuries.

It’s amazing how different life can be after a collision.

One minute everything is fine, the next you are hurting for days and uncertain if life will ever get back to normal.  Normal daily activities you used to perform with ease, like reading, working, concentrating, exercising or even sleeping, now take more energy and cause annoying pain that may even prevent you from doing these activities again.

If you feel like this, or have any of the symptoms listed above, you could be suffering from whiplash. Whiplash is an injury to the spine caused by a jerking motion, either backward, forward or from the side.

Whiplash can severely damage your ligaments and tendons, even if you feel just a little sore after the accident. If not healed properly, painful scar tissue will develop,  causing misery in your neck joints for decades.

One medical study concluded 43% of patients “will suffer long-term symptoms following ‘whiplash’ injury, for which no conventional treatment has proven to be effective.”

This means that almost half the people who have neck trauma from a car wreck will suffer for years. Plus the traditional methods of treatment like neck collars, ‘wait-and-see’, and pain pills are not working.

Could This Non-Invasive, Natural Treatment Be The Answer To Your Pain?

I am Dr. Russell Brokstein, DC, clinic director at Hometown Family Wellness Center in Freehold, NJ.  I’ve been helping people heal and be pain free after car wrecks for 13 years in Freehold and the surrounding towns of Marlboro, Manalapan, Howell, Colts Neck, Morganville, Jackson and Old Bridge. Chiropractic treatment has proven to be a very effective method of healing whiplash injuries. Here’s the results of one chiropractic study…

“The results of this retrospective study would suggest that benefits can occur in over 90% of patients undergoing chiropractic treatment for chronic whiplash injury.” — European Spine Journal

It’s Extremely Important To Have A Professional Evaluation

In my “Car Wreck Evaluation” we cover the following:

  • An in-depth consultation about your problem where I will listen…really listen…to the details of your case.
  • A complete neuromuscular examination.
  • A state of the art computerized exam to determine if a pinched nerve in the neck is contributing to your pain. This is an important step in collecting proof of your injury.
  • A thorough analysis of your exam and computerized findings so we can start mapping out your plan to being pain free.
  • You’ll see everything first hand and find out if this amazing treatment will be your pain solution, like it has been for so many other patients.

I’ve seen too many people come in years after their car accident, and have nasty, degenerative arthritis, most of which could have been prevented with the right care early on. I’m tired of seeing this scenario over and over, so it’s important you you receive a special evaluation to help make a difference.

Here’s How To Get Rid Of Your Pain

With my Evaluation we’ll be able find the problem and then correct it.  Think of how you’ll feel in just a few short weeks. You’ll be feeling your life change for the better. Starting your body on the way to a pain-free, normal living. Feeling tight joints rest, relax, free up. Feeling muscles tied in knots become more supple.

As you begin to see motion returning to your joints, you’re preventing and reducing chances of disability and a crippling future. You’re playing golf again, doing yard work or playing with the kids…without pain.

Here’s What To Do About Your Pain

The sooner you get started with your consultation, exam and computerized assessment, you will be on the road to feeling like you did before the accident and enjoying your normal activities once again.

What will your pain feel like months, even years, from today?

A study published in the Journal of Bone and Surgery looked at people who had been in a car accident 15 years ago. They found that 70% of the whiplash injured patients continued to complain of problems related to the original accident.

With women it was even higher — 80% still had symptoms after 15 years!

Don’t let scar tissue build up and be painful for life.  Get checked by a qualified chiropractor immediately after your accident to prevent you from suffering.

Freehold Chiropractor says Most Doctors Miss the Cause of Your Sciatica

Being a chiropractor in Freehold, NJ,  I see patients from most of Monmouth County and other parts of the state that suffer with sciatica.  After treatments with medications, rest, and physical therapy the problem persists because these treatments do not get to the cause of the sciatica the majority of the time.

Dr. Tyler Baker, Omaha Chiropractor, wrote a great blog about what sciatica pain is and some possible treatment options.  If you have pain that shoots down your leg, experience numbness or tingling in your leg or foot, have weakness in your legs or even soreness and pain by your butt, you could be experiencing sciatica.  I highly recommend Dr. Baker’s Omaha Chiropractic Blog and his post:  Sciatica Pain and Treatment

Medication at best will just cover up the pain of sciatica, but it will not correct it.  Taking medication is like if you went to the dentist for a toothache or painful cavity and the doctor said for you to take some pain medication and anti-inflammatories but not treat the cavity.  You know that the cavity would continue to decay and get worse, eventually needing drastic procedures to fix what could’ve been prevented in the first place.  Yet, this is the way most doctors treat patients and you follow their lead.

Physical therapy has a slightly higher success in treating the sciatica as many times the PT will first do some therapies like electric stimulation or ultrasound to ease the pain and decrease the swelling, then do some stretching to loosen the muscles and probably finish with some strengthening exercises to try to stabilize the area.  Short term this gives relief bu this in long term can cause problems as the underlying cause is still not being corrected and doing these exercises will just splint the area in the imbalanced position.  The problem will further degenerate years down the road.

Chiropractors look for the cause of the problem.  Many look for misalignments called subluxations, where the vertebra move out of place, putting pressure on the nerve, therefor causing the symptoms of pain, numbness and tingling, and leg weakness.  These bones moving out of place can cause a herniated disc, swelling and degeneration in the long run. By performing chiropractic adjustments, chiropractors reposition the bones of the spine to remove the pressure on the nerve, thereby getting to the cause of the problem.

In our office at Hometown Family Wellness Center, we take a  multi-pronged approach to not only find the cause, but many times the surrounding muscles of the spine and legs are out of balance and will pull the bones back out of place.  While adjusting the spine, we also perform therapeutic activities to those supporting soft tissues:  hamstrings, quadriceps and piriformis muscles in the legs, as well as the paravertebral muscles of the spine.  This overall approach, gets the optimal results, as our goal is to get you out of pain and enjoying your normal activities.

Would you like your health professional to find the cause of your back pain and sciatica so you can enjoy your normal daily activities and time with friends and family?  Would you like to finally live without the pain and prevent future problems?

If you answer yes to these questions, live in Freehold or the surrounding towns of Marlboro, Manalapan, Englishtown, Morganville, Colts Neck, Howell, Millstone or Jackson, NJ, contact Hometown Family Wellness Center to get on the road to recovery as soon as possible.
